Yes, Lombardia supplied the Pop-Up Store with the best vegetarian and eco friendly food and products. You can check out our favorite products, like DJ Tiesto’s favorite Vita Coco Coconutwater, and combine your favorites into into an eco friendly survival kit, or more importantly: into a collection of products you never want to be without!

Green soles
But there’s more: Timberland lets you create your own fashionable and eco friendly shoe at the store. You can customize it to your taste completely and then order it just as easily. Did you know most shoes are a burden on the environment? Especially the soles of footwear often have plenty of toxic products in them. Well, not these shoes and soles. Make sure to get your exclusive pair!

Carrot perfume
There’s one more unique thing you can get at this Pop-Up Store, though. The magnificent and innovative Magnolia perfumes. These perfumes are made from eco friendly ingredients and have a special green ring to them. Ever heard of a perfume made of carrots? No? We discovered it at the Pop-Up Store and instantly fell in love.

Launched with GingerLove
Last week, Belgium’s stars opened the Pop-Up Store officially and vegetarian restaurant Lombardia catered the whole event. Our GingerLove mix with white wine was a big success, we enjoyed serving it in special GingerLove bio cups, and stars like Sabine Appelmans and Pascale Naessens sipped our spicy ginger tea while shopping green.

The Belgian tennis star Kim Clijsters visited Lombardia this week! She dropped by with a friend for a vegetarian daily special and a hot, foamy GingerLove tea.

Alain and his family are big fans of Kim and were delighted to welcome her to their vegetarian restaurant in Antwerp. Alain’s mother, co-founder of Lombardia, even revealed her favorite GingerLove recipe to Kim!

Kim had heard of Lombardia and GingerLove before but hadn’t visited us yet. We were happy to serve her her very first cup of our wonderful ginger tea in Lombardia. While eating our healthy daily special and sipping GingerLove Kim noticed the pictures on our walls.

“Did all these stars really visit Lombardia and drink GingerLove?”, she asked. Yes, they sure did. We promptly got out our camera, took this wonderful picture of Kim at Lombardia drinking GingerLove and added a very special Belgian star to our collection! We’re very happy to have a picture of Kim on our walls and it seems like Kim was happy at Lombardia too: a couple of days later, she returned with her husband and daughter.

Kim Clijsters is a famous professional tennis player, born and raised in Belgium. She won four Grand Slam singles titles: three at the US Open and one at the Australian Open. Kim retired for a couple of years and became a mother of a beautiful daughter. Her spectacular come back afterwards made her even more popular. In June 2011, TIME magazine named her one of the “30 Legends of Women’s Tennis: Past, Present and Future”

Tomorrowland is finally kicking off tonight and Lombardia comes prepared! We have our special Tomorrowland sandwich available for all dancers at the festival and our spicy, foamy GingerLove is the official hot beverage. But Lombardia’s working hard behind the scenes as well. Last night Alain was honored to cook for the top artists of Faithless and serve them a foamy cup of GingerLove tea. The impressive band is performing at Tomorrowland tonight and they sure seem ready for a great party (and so are we)! Have a great festival everyone!

The days of partying and dancing on the impressive beats of the artists at the magical Tomorrowland festival are near! At the end of this month, the popular dance festival will welcome its many visitors and Lombardia has a special treat for them: a unique vegetarian sandwich! Alain Indria created the special sandwich exclusively for this occasion! To get a bite out of the Tomorrowland sandwich, you will have to dance your way to Lombardia at the festival!

We do hope you already have tickets for this wonderful event since it is nearly sold out. There are some tickets left for Friday night but the rest of the weekend tickets are lost to other partiers! If you do have tickets and will be attending, you shouuld come and see our impressive counter and temporary restaurant at Tomorrowland. A perfect location for a healthy break from all the dancing and partying!

But we have more to offer at the magical Tomorrowland. Our spicy and foamy GingerLove ginger tea will be the official hot beverage at the festival. That means you can drink it while dancing, while eating a healthy Tomorrowland sandwich or just about at any moment you’d like a spicy boost of your day (or night!) at Tomorrowland.

The English artist Eliza Doolittle, known from the hit ‘Pack up’ on her debut album released in 2010, visited Lombardia last Monday. Eliza was in Antwerp to perform at the special ‘glass house’ of Music for life, an initiative to support AIDS orphans around the world.

The young artist brought her crew to Lombardia and enjoyed a vegetarian lunch at our restaurant. She also happily sipped a cup of our foamy ginger tea, GingerLove. Afterwards, Eliza and her crew left with a burst of healthy energy to perform at the Music for Life studio.

Designer Stephen Jones

On 8 September the exhibition of British milliner Stephen Jones has opened in Antwerp. This Brittish designer has been working for over 30 years with the biggest names in the international fashion scene: Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Comme des Garcons, Claude Montana, John Galliano, Christian Dior and Walter Van Beirendonck.
